I was going to be following the 21 day sugar detox plan, but I've found out over the last couple days, that it's a book/system and it's kinda pricey...It's the start of the Paleo diet anyway, and I'm not into that so, I'm making up my own.
I'll do a sugar detox starting on january 1st., I'm shooting for 21 days.
The first week will consist of Mindfully eating. Which I need to do a bit more of anyway. figuring out when I really crave sugar, and why.
the second week, we'll work on replacing the sugar with fruit or something sugar free. (aka splenda/stevia) Having fruit with my dinner might kill the after dinner cravings for sugar.
the 3rd week I'm hoping to have the sugar free products done with, and just moving onto fruit.
As you can tell, I'm only doing away with refined sugars. I'm still planning on keeping my fruit around.
I'm hoping to bring the kids in on this, like I said before, Levi will be easy, Miranda even sounds more on board than I thought she would be... But jake is going to be withdrawling, sweating and shaking in the corner somewhere I'm sure. lol
I'm planing on coming here and blogging about my sucesses, and most likely Failures. lol I'm not planning on getting myself all down in a hole before I even begin though, so I will think postive. I can do this. I gave up pop didn't I? didn't think I'd ever be able to do that, and it's been about a month now. :) I'll have to go back and look.
ETA: The last pop I had was on december 1st. So tuesday will be a month! wow!
