Go to store for milk, hospital calls and wants to know if I am transporting mom to her home. UH, NO, I already told charge nurse yesterday that I would not do it. COMMUNICATION!

They then ask me where I will be meeting them, at hospital or facility?? UH, I just got home, I will be here, in MY home. Do you need me to sign anything, find directions to her room? no.. okay, then wheel her out, then in, have a nice day. I am losing patience with "professionals". I used to work there ,, back in the old fashioned days without computers, high tech, we had our poop in a group.
Five seconds after I hang up, moms facility called me to tell me, get this:" The hospital just called us. your mom is in the hospital"...(been there two days) she is being discharged,, where will you be meeting her? I had already left them a message about it all...
Call-waiting is my new mantra...

Do all your caregivers at the hospital and the facility have some sort of cognitive disorder? Sorry to seem negative, but really, there must be a limit somewhere. Isn't there someone in either organization who can make a decision and take some responsibility? I sure hope things get better for you there. emoticon
