Chin-ups?

Sunday, December 30, 2012

I ordered a chin-up bar...it should be here Wednesday. I have no idea if I can even get halfway up to the bar, but I will work hard to get there. I follow an online fitness trainer who can't even do it. She is using an assisted lift machine at her gym to train with. She is still needing 25 pounds of assist to achieve her chin-ups. Since I don't have any way to help myself along, it may take a while....but there's nothing like seeing progress as you go.

Also, apparently my husband switched our gym memberships. So.....I need to head over there and see what they have. We have two gyms we can use, so that's a positive thing. Can you tell I wasn't happy about switching? I hate looking like the new girl who signed up with the new year....

I used the chair for assistance until I was able to do them on my own. I still use it when I start getting tired. Good luck!

I've never been able to do a chin up, but I also haven't tried since I've been in high school. Good luck with this new goal, next thing you know you'll be blogging saying you did it. emoticon emoticon

You can assist yourself at home without equipment. Use a chair. Here is a video that demonstrates.
