I had the flu the last couple days but I am proud to say that both days I managed 10,000 steps. Even though I felt under the weather I think that moderate movement does help the body heal. I went slower on my treadmill only 3.0-3.5 mph and the thing is it did feel good to move. I am thankful I have a treadmill at home it really helped me. I also made it through the holidays with no net gain or loss! emoticon While I would have loved to lose through the holidays I am glad I got to enjoy food and family. I just did a few extra minutes here and there on the treadmill! I did not eat as well as I would have liked but I didn't sit around feeling guilty either! emoticon So when I hopped on the scale and it showed a friendly number and my pants don't feel tight and my soul feels good I think wow all this little stuff works walking 15000 steps instead of 10000 and if I only get 10000 that is okay with me that is still 5 miles or more!
I am excited for the 2nd of January I am going to do the BeachBody Ultimate Reset I love the idea of starting the new year with at clean and healthy body inside and out. The food for the plan is also very appealing which I think makes it so much easier to want to do it. My fiance is also super supportive of my undertaking. I am hoping to see weight loss of course, but I am really looking to improve my nutrition and reset my body to cut down on cravings for certain vices of mine. I feel set and ready to take on the new year and continue to make every little stride I can that is progress and meet the bumps in the road head on and see those bumps as opportunity.

    Bad luck having flu over the holiday but it seemed to help you.

Just a thought, try splitting the 15000 up into useable lumps of say 2 to 3 miles. I find that it makes a difference rather that try 5 to 6 miles in one go.
