Time is Flying

Saturday, December 29, 2012

What happened to Friday? I actually know - family! We had people here in shifts from around 1 PM until after 11 PM and that doesn't include my SIL and her DH, who spent the night.

We had more snow today and I have not been out in my car since Christmas Eve. I must venture out tomorrow to buy groceries for my son's birthday dinner. And more people tomorrow night...I am actually hoping for a quiet New Year's Eve.

What are your plans to bring in the new year?

I'm kinda shell-shocked by the downtime myself. This is more time off in one bunch than I've had in years! Four day weekend last week, then this weekend, then work Monday, then off Tuesday, then the following week taking Monday off for Orthodox Christmas. I don't know what to do with all this relaxation!! Of course it's punctuated by feverish activity at work, which won't let up until the end of January....

I'm taking the boys and their girlfriends to a show on New Years Eve - I'll probably be the oldest person there, lol! Good thing I like the headliner band! Aunt Diane was a sweetie and bought them the tickets. Thanks, Auntie!

Although busy, sounds like you had a great day!

Enjoy the company. It will be quiet soon enough.

    Be careful driving.

I am probably going to sleep through midnight and let
the new year come in all by itself. I'll check it out in the
    morning after.
