January is a fresh start. Not only is a fresh start because it is a new month but also because itís 2013. Iíll be honest, 2012 did not go as planned. Nutritionally, I learned a lot of new things but as usual, when the going gets tough, I get to eating. Iíve tried many things to curb my emotional eating but nothing has really worked.
In 2013, Iím going to try to do have monthly streaks. Breaking up goals into monthly streaks seems very realistic to me.
So here it goes for January 2013.
1. Break my after-dinner sweets habit. I have a sweet tooth not only at dinner but lunch too!!! I am determined to take a month off from mindlessly eating sweets.
2. Increase my protein intake. I eat enough protein, but I usually end up in the low end of my range. I'll add more nuts and seeds to my snacks, double my portions of bean or tofu dinner. Iíll add some protein to my breakfasts.
3. Meatless Mondayís! I will do my best to eat no meat on Mondayís.
4. Weigh in. Post my weight on 1/2/13 and track the remainder of the month with no further weigh ins. Use my clothes as a ďgaugeĒ
