Today has been such a great day! I woke up pain free from both my knee and foot which was really surprising since last night both where throbbing. I've decided to give them both another week of rest before starting a new walking program. I had been doing a C25K program but I guess it was a bit to much.
After a great breakfast with my son I decided to go spend some of the Christmas gift cards that have been burning a hole in my pocket lol. We went to Layne Bryant armed with lots of treats for him to keep him pleasant and the gift cards my MIL gave me. I grabbed a few tops in my usual size, 22/24 (I am a 20/22 but don't like anything to touch me haha), and headed to the dressing room. The tops where extremely loose! We went back out and grabbed a couple of 20/22 tops and went back to the dressing room, they where also loose but the kind of loose I go for. I decided to push my luck and asked the attendant for an 18/20 of anything she had, and it fit!! It was not "tight" but definitely to snug for my personal preferences. Then I made a choice, possibly a mistake but hopefully just a choice, and swapped all my tops for 18/20. I won't wear them out in public until I lose more but seeing them everyday will give me hope.. determination... joy. I will fit in to them and they will look great! 18/20 is not my goal size, no where close to it, but it will make for a nice mini goal. The last time I fit into an 18 was freshman year of high school. I can't believe it.
After clothes shopping we went to Walgreens to blow another card, this trip wasn't as much fun but I did get some protein powder I have been wanting to try and one of those fun cups with the little whisk ball inside. When we got back to the car I opened some wasabi peas I had bought and started munching breaking 2 of my rules. NO eating while distracted and NO eating from a container. The entire bag was 300 calories though and I figured I could just write them down as lunch and move on, but without any thought I automatically ate a few and did not touch them again. I completely forgot about them! A few months ago I would have ate the whole bag and forgot I had eaten anything at all. I'm sure this will sound really silly but I don't think I have been so proud of myself or my progress as I was when I saw the still full bag sitting on seat.
