Losing Weight? I Hope Not!

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Everyone, including me, talks about losing weight.

Then, one day, I saw this on Pinterest: I'm not losing weight. I'm getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again.

This bugged me until I thought about it for a while.
To lose something means I have lost possession of it, and I WANT IT BACK!
When I lose something, I hunt and hunt and hunt until I find it! I regain possession. Then I can relax.

Could this possibly have anything to do with losing weight, gaining it back, losing weight, gaining it back. You may not be aware of the cycle but I am!

So, to anyone who reads this, I am not on SparkPeople to lose weight.
I am on SparkPeople to get rid of the weight, because I never want to see it, feel it, touch it, or try to cover it up, again!

Yes, exactly...I, and a few other teammates, talk about shedding weight. For some reason it sounds much more positive to me and we definitely to NOT want to find it again! emoticon Love, Jeannie

I also want to be rid of quite a few pounds. . .I'm setting some doable goals for 2013 and want to lost a significant amount of weight and be healthier than I am now. Good for you for joining Spark and gathering information and support to make your Journey to Healthy a top priority. Like you once my excess weight is gone I'll say good riddance and won't welcome a pound back. Take good care and a Happy 2013 to Better Health and Happiness is just ahead of you.
