How this all started

Saturday, December 29, 2012

In beginning of 2012 i went to the doctor to gain a prescription for chantix to aid in the goal of a smoke free me. The doctor wanted to do a wellness check on me. bp/weight etc... My bp was 196/96 with a weight of 246 eek! Docs words was "do you wanna die"..... well at 29 yrs old that aint exactly what you want to hear. So through some small lifestyle modifications i was able to drop about 40 of that easily. Which brings me to today. bp 116/78 and a weigh in of 201. I have got a ymca membership and i am about to start a hiit / strength training program :)

WOW that is wonderful good for you!!! I am glad you took the Doctor's advice seriously . My sister in law has high cholesterol she will not take med;s for it so the Dr. said go ahead & have a heart attack or stroke then. I work in a pharmacy 24 years those that did not listen to their Dr.s had 6 men walking slowly beside them ( meaning they died ),other cases some had a stroke & now are dealing with that , had diabetes & would not stay on their proper diet so they had a foot or legs removed, case in point my mother in law would rather eat bad ended up with both legs off & died at 69.I had people that would not listen at all had heart attacks etc. Then I have people like you that listened they lost weight & no longer take any medication. You can be so proud of yourself!!!
