Accepting the Role of a Caregiver

Saturday, December 29, 2012

I am realizing that my husband gets stressed out much more if the weather is bad and I want to go out. He worries about car accidents or my falling on ice. I know how difficult it is if I cannot assist with dialysis or other items.

I decided to grow up and not go to the gym today. I will shovel snow later on. I can do a "ride" from spinning.com's dvds that I purchased on my home spin bike. I plan to do core exercises also.

I will work on our diet as well.

I am impressed with how you are handling this.

Another option that might help is to do check-ins when you are out or leave him with things that will help him keep from worrying as much - whatever that may be.

    You are rocking! emoticon emoticon

emoticon I imagine it would be rather scary to be home alone with the bad weather. Much better to exercise at home-you've done a great job of taking care of both of you and a lot better than me at actually getting that exercise done at home!
