As I sat around feeling fat this morning, I decided something. I have worked too hard to stop now even for just a couple of days. This is not going to help me to achieve my goals. I needed to get back on track. So that's what I'm going to do. I already went to the gym this morning with my father and sister. I did go out to breakfast, but I think I ate reasonably well. I got eggs, homefries and toast. Not exactly my perfect breakfast, but nothing too bad. I tried the toast my dad's way. My dad goes to this place frequently and orders multigrain toast with cinnamon and then tops it with honey. It was actually pretty good: a little more dry than I typically like, but not bad. I will admit I snacked on some chocolates, but I only ate 2 of the little miniature size, so I don't think it will kill me. I need to go figure out what I can eat that will be healthy for lunch and decide on something to do for dinner tonight. The original plan had been to go out, but I think my sister and I might make something instead. Any ideas for delicious, but healthy dinners?

Spark has some good ideas for dinners...one of my favorites is stuffed chicken with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese (I usually have it over a bed of greens, e.g. arugula). Chicken salsa (and tons of veggies) in the crockpot is also a staple at our house. happy new year!

I like salmon - delicious and full of healthy fish oils. Served with a selection of different coloured vegs. :-)

Hi! I like your blog and we're both about the same current weight, looking to loose the same amount of pounds! emoticon
I just started on Spark People on Dec 20th and I've already seen some weight loss!
I've lost weight before and my eating out strategy while I'm dieting is usually to
#1. Order water. Alcohol and soft drinks have so many useless calories.
#2. Order a meal sized salad and add a meat option. If this doesn't sound good to you, order a meal with a meat and instead of mashed potatoes ask for 2 sides of veggies. Most restaurants will do this for you! Avoid bread and potatoes like the plague!
Hope this helps. Keep pushing! emoticon
