Chia Seeds

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Have you tried these Miracle seeds? To me they are a blessing. I think I've spoken of them before but I love em. Sold in the same area as bagged oat bran and ground flax seeds near bulk section of most stores... I paid $12 for this 1 lb bag. My blood pressure is normal, my blood sugars are NORMAL, inflammation from arthritis and all joint pain is gone completely. It amazes me that I ahve been able to go off all pain meds and i was taking Ibuprofen daily for joint pain. I also take a tart cherry capsule which helps in arthritis pain. Plus the Chia seeds fill you up so you eat less. this morning I added 2 tsp's on my yogurt so it was kind of crunchy. You can soak them overnight in water and they expand and has the appearance of a tiny pepper. they are tasteless. I sprinkle them on salads, yogurt, on occasion hot cereal, cottage cheese, chili, soups... anything wet. Oh and did i tell you they give me energy?

They can also cause constipation if you take too much. I learned that the hard way. :)

    ok- sold!
I am going to try them again.
The first time I tried them I only put them in my smoothies and I didn't like the slimy feel of them in my mouth.
Happy New Year, Deb!

I've been putting them in/on stuff off and on but haven't noticed anything miraculous. I put them in smoothies every time.
