My mother in law is here until the 2nd and she keeeps telling my husband and I to go on a date and i want to go but the food scares me haha we have a goft card to our fav restaurant and I would rather stay home and cook and then celebrate a weightloss goal with some grub...im not ready for such a big challenge lol! I still have 4 lbs to lose to catch up from Christmas break!! then 5 more lbs to lose after that to catch up to my schedule!! We will see I suppose.

    I too struggle with this.. I agree with kingdomfirst about maybe researching the restaurant u plan on going too online to see if they have the nutritional values on a website. Then you can plan your other meals accordingly. emoticon

    Eek, I know what you mean. I'm debating whether to head out to our favorite restaurant, same scenario. I just celebrated another 2lb. loss today and I'm like do I really want to mess with that. I think I might give it a couple of days and head out on New Years, that way I have a longer stretch between the higher calories I know I will take in. Our fav place is an all you can eat Chinese buffet (I've got to find a new place, lol!) Any who, I know most restaurants have the lower fares or you could simply eat half and bring half home for another meal. I'd see if your place has a website or use a search engine so you can try to pinpoint the calories, plan what you eat before you go, and then that way you may be able to stay on track.
