why would you?

Saturday, December 29, 2012

This blog is written in memory of Jennifer Sebena, Nancy Lanza and Zina Haughton. Who are they?
Two of them are from Wisconsin and Iím not sure how much national coverage they have gotten. Let me tell you what each of these women has in common.
If we met walking down the street and I pulled out a gun and threatened innocent lives I would be in jail so quick, right?
THEN WHY LADIES!!!! Is it ok for your husband, boyfriend and son to put a gun to you, threaten you and then tell you they love you?
Love does not:
Call names
Pull out a gun!
Officer Jennifer Sebena was threatened by her husband. He put a gun to her head. But she stayed with him. In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, while on patrol in Wauwatosa, one week ago, she was ambushed and shot 5 times by the man who said he loved her.
Nancy Lanza, what could be purer than a motherís love? **** I donít know for sure but I am willing to wager Adam Lanza threated her in some way before he killed her and 26 more innocent souls.
On October 21, 2012, a mass shooting occurred at the Azana Spa in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Zina Haughton had filed complaints against her estranged husband. He had threatened her too. He walked in to her place of employment and opened fire, killing his wife and 6 more innocent people and then killing himself.
This is not about gun laws. This is a bout the emotional turmoil that goes on behind closed doors. Like I said if, you would never put up with a stranger threatening you, why do we put up with our ďloved onesĒ doing it to us.
Please, if you are in a hurtful place, say something to someone, there are ways to get help. If an officer of the law can fall victim anyone can.

**** i would like to add that i have not and WILL not watch a lot of the media coverage regarding sandy hook. it tears me up. i dont know if nancy lanza herself was a nut case, like i have heard in the rumor mill. i just know that a (another) person killed their mother/ father and it shouldnt have happened.

Painfull situations stated elsewhere...people are so different, so complex...what may seem a good idea one year...may not many years down the road. My Christian God kept me safe from a man who moved between intense devotion to intense anger....I finally had enough...asked him to leave...after all he was involved with someone else...when I would not take him back he killed himself. He had admitted to me during rehab that one time he lost his temper with me the voices were telling him to kill me..somehow he caught himself and seemed horrified that he had hit me...he was also Manic Depressive, Obsessive-Compulsive and eventually alcoholic and drug addicted...He also had a Doctorate...and derided me for my early life with just such personalities...I put up with a lot over 16 years and I don't feel guilty...just sorry he couldn't get well. I am now free to live my life with God's blessings.

It is such a sad world we live in. That people can treat one another that way is beyond me. I hope all of those women are in a better place where they will never be hurt again.
