Can't get it outta my mind!!

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Been tossing and turning all night emoticon . Probably because of all I ate yesterday and the fact that at the same time I was miserable about being fat!! About this time of year everyone is thinking diet and exercise for a New Year's resolution emoticon . Why just this time of the year? Well, I am going to try it again. My head won't shut up and my body is so cumbersome I can barely move. I can only do it one hour at a time and my choice this hour is to blog for the very first time and pray I am successful for the first hour of my decision. How much do I weigh? I don't know. More than the set of scales I have will weigh and I sure can not afford a cattle scale!! emoticon

Sparkpeople always tells you to make little changes at a time, baby steps, which build slowly into something better. I started by vowing always to leave something, no matter how small, just one mouthful on my plate, every meal. Then I started exercising, by walking on the spot in front of the TV when the adverts were on. That developed into walking up and down stairs while the adverts were on, and eating smaller portions. I didn't change WHAT I ate at all, nor tracked it, just ate less of it. Gradually I have cut out sugar, cut down on stodge, (potatoes, bread, pasta) eaten more fresh stuff.

Two years on, you wouldn't recognise me. So don't look at the mountain to climb, just your feet, and start taking those first baby steps. You've already taken the first one by joining sparkpeople.
