I've got a bicycle "on blocks" in my living room... it's attached to a stand that converts it into a stationary bike. It's been there for more than a year, but only recently did I start to use it while watching TV. Ten minute bites on the stationary bike are about all I want to do at this point, but it's enough to get my heart rate up -- and my cheeks rosy -- and it certainly beats stationary TV watching on the couch.
During the winter, when it's too cold to bike outside and when I sometimes don't feel like going to the gym, this seems like a good way to get some cardio going.
