Tis a Time For...

Saturday, December 29, 2012

1.Freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to.
2.Bestow (love, affection, or other emotional support).

I love giving and I love to do it all year round...not just at Christmas. I give more then just gifts...I give myself. I do this freely and with much love to those I really care about. Heck, with my job, I do this for people I don't even hardly know! And I LOVE TO GIVE! But here's the part I really struggle with. When I give SO much, deep down, I hope on a day, like Christmas, those that I give the most to, would share this action of giving back with me. I know this is a selfish thing and like I said, I struggle daily to stop myself from thinking this way. I remind myself that a person can only express as much as they feel. I can not force others to feel the same as I do for them. I will not let this stop me from continuing my own giving.
So today I go out with giving in my heart and in my hands. I promise you, I will not stop giving for I know in my heart, THIS is what makes me who I am and THIS is what makes those I love smile....and THAT is the biggest gift of all!

Loving and giving go together. The bible commands us to "love one another". Those who truly believe will do this and enjoy the warm feelings. emoticon

Great words. I also struggle with my inner self about being selfish.

You have pointed out what many people forget. One must give willingly and without strings attached. If it is then accepted in the same manner, that is the icing on the cake! emoticon
