Well, I just wanted to check in. I've been too busy to blog lately. I have been doing very well on my Fitbit. I walked my 10,000 steps plus some every day. I am staying within the bounds of my calories and I am seeing good progress.
I've measured and am losing inches in my legs and waist. I feel much stronger.
I am also noticing that my attitude is better toward exercise. I have always hated it. It is still not my favorite thing but I am finding I don't let myself make excuses. I missed one day because of tendonitis but there were other days that I just wanted to give myself the day off and didn't.
On the days I just don't want to walk, I do a quick 30 minutes which usually gives me about 3000 steps. Then I talk myself into just a little bit more and before you know it I am up to the 10,000 and feel very satisfied with myself.
It is true that walking is good for you. Before I bought my Fitbit I only walked about 20 minutes a day and I wasn't seeing any results. Since starting to do the 10,000 steps I can visibly see the difference in my body and feel my muscles in my stomach in particular. I wasn't expecting this.
Now I find myself finding ways to add steps. I'm a multi tasker and have always tried to save steps, so this is big for me.
I know I have lost weight but don't know how much. I have another 5 weeks or so over here in KZ so I suspect I will manage a few more before going home. I will be very excited to see my scale I think.
Happy walking everyone
