Feeling Low

Saturday, December 29, 2012

I have been in a rut lately. I'm not sure what is going on with me but I have been making poor food choices, not working out as much, not drinking as much water as I used to. I feel like I am slowly failing.

This week was the first time in a LONG time I went over my calories. And I went over them big time...500 calories over! And it was HORRIBLE food - Pizza Hut pizza, breadsticks, cinnamon sticks. Ugh. Today wasn't a whole lot better. I didn't go over my calories but my food for the day was awful. Hot dog, popcorn, frozen pizza, pasta, three Cheetos.

I KNOW tomorrow is a new day. I just hope I have the inner strength to make better choices.

It happens to all of us at some point in time. Don't feel like you are a failure or that you are alone! It's difficult this time of year to stay on track. This whole lifestyle is still new and it takes time to make this a lifelong change. You may have taken a step backwards but that doesn't mean that you have to continue in that direction. Tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to get back on track. Just take it one day and one moment at a time. Plan your meals and food you buy. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yes, tomorrow is a new day and YOU DO HAVE THE STRENGTH! You are stronger than you think. Tomorrow make the choice to have a fully healthy day. That's it... just for tomorrow. When the day ends you will have won a BIG victory over ONE day. Go to bed and wake up the next day. Do it again! One day at a time. One step at a time. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! We're counting on you and you can count on us!

Put it behind you and keep moving forward. Remember, you are worth your best effort. Think about how much better you feel when you are on track. Never quit! Bad days (and weeks) happen to us all. The important thing is to never give up trying!

It is NOT FAILURE!!! Only temporary set back. Happens to all of us. This time of year is especially difficult it seems. I admit that I have pretty much lived on garlic chips and coffee for the last three days. Not sorry either! I know I will do better. Don't beat yourself up over this. And yes, I really like garlic chips!

plan a head...take control bu making menu and sticking with it...planning is the key ...know in the morning what to eat..don't let the food happen to take control...get that junk food out of the house....if it's not there you can't eat it.....make a food plan you can live with....add some favorites but remember eating healthy is key to being healthy....

Have a healthy day and happy new year

You are writing each page of your life.
How will tomorrow's page read?
It is your choice.
I hope it is good.

God Bless

It happens to all of us, so try to put it behind you! I have been the same this week. For me it has been the dreary weather and feeling the need for some "comfort food," as well as having leftover Christmas goodies around. Tomorrow is a new day though! emoticon

You did not fail. The only way you can fail is to give up. You are just taking a step backwards, which everyone does. This is a tough time of year. I have always suffered from the after Christmas blues and it is very common. Give yourself a break and realize that soon you will be taking two steps forward to offset that one step back. emoticon
