Ready for the new year

Saturday, December 29, 2012

It really doesn't seem possible that in a few days it will be 2013, but it will. This next week, like the last few, will be hectic. Getting all the financial things at work done & closed; finishing my work on the church budget; surviving all the rest of the holiday activities & then getting things set up for next year.

And then there is surviving all the extra goodies that appear on my desk. They also seem to appear in my kitchen at home. I have to decide what to fix for New Years Eve. We are having a party at church & of course, there's always plenty of food. I am going to make a cake & some kind of appetizer-type food.

Actually, I've already re-stated my Spark People goals for 2013. OK, they aren't really for 2013 - I've already started working on them. They are pretty much the same as they were in 2012, but I' hoping for more consistency this time.

There were a couple of changes in 2012 that made my life a little easier. I've also noted that I am a little happier. That's the way life should be.

I wish all of you the best year ever in 2013!

You sound prepared and generally contented. Both conditions are essential for happiness. Best wishes from Irene

Hard for me to believe it will be 2013 in a couple of days too.
