Really upset but did not go off program

Friday, December 28, 2012

We have had a "marking" problem with one of our cats, who had a kidney problem. So she has been in the garage while I tried to deodorize and put down waterproof pads. Sometimes she is scarce, and I haven't seen her since before Christmas - which is not unusual - sometimes she gets behind a box and snoozes and I can't find her when I go into the garage.

What happened was that she died, and my husband did not tell me or my daughter because he did not want us to be upset. I do see that his intent was good. However - and this is a long story with too much detail for this blog entry - it was very upsetting for him to choose not to tell me important news. I was very upset and very demoralized. I was and am so sad about my kitty...and shocked that she died although I knew she had a serious condition...and feel terrible that she was in the garage if she only had a short time left...but...I stayed on my program, exercised, and stayed on my food plan. And, I will continue to try to work this long standing issue out with DH, AND take care of myself and stay on my program.

Oh dear! I can see why you're so upset. Just have to wonder why he didn't want to tell you...... hmmmm.

We just lost our cat who was 19 years old. I would have been SOOOOO upset if my hubby had excluded me in the decisions.

Good for you for honoring yourself by staying on plan. DO take care of yourself. You are worth it.
