New years day is just a few days away and I am preparing for the new year. I want my goals to be set and be ready to make them happen. This year is the year that I follow through.
My goals are to quit smoking and to break the 200 mark by February. The steps I am taking to achieve these goals are:
1. quit smoking. this is number one because the weight won't drop off till i exercise and I can not breath to good anymore. so I start on Jan 1 no more smoking. I have joined a program to help me quit, I have received my patches in the mail and I have purchased gum (sugar free) to help me.
2. increase exercising a few minutes at a time as my lungs clear, I am good for 10 minutes on treadmill, so I will increase to 15 inside a week and 20 next week and 30 by the end of February
One big goal one small one to start the year. I must quit smoking, but I don't want to undo what I have done so far in my efforts so I must exercise and eat right. I expect some set backs in weight loss, but I hope to over come them and achieve
To tell you the truth I am scared to death, but I am gonna do this, I must be strong or I will die. My mom died of COPD a couple of years ago and now my sister has been diagnosed with it. If I don't do something right I will be next. So come one new year, bring on your worst. I will win.
