WE ALL HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS.

Friday, December 28, 2012

Hi everyone. Arjay, Max and I had a great Christmas. We celebrated our 33 wedding anniversary in church on Christmas Eve. We were married at 9pm. This is where we have been almost every year on our anniversary. What better place to be? I'm usually singing in the choir and dong some other musical thing so it's even more special to be using the talents God gave me. It was a candle light service where we all got in a circle all around the sanctuary and held the battery candles up high and sang Silent Night with the house lights turned off so all you saw was the candle light. It's always very pretty. The choir sang "Mary Did You Know." I'll try and take some pictures of the sanctuary on Sunday before the decorations are put away on Jan 5.

Christmas Day was nice too. I talked to my family and they all liked their themed gift baskets. "Santa" brought Arjay and I each the new Kindle Paperwhite. It is so nice to have the back light. I've read 3 Charles Dickens books since Christmas. My sister Denice, sent me a beautiful Pandora bracelet with a cross charm on it. One brother and his wife , Robb and Norma, sent a gift card, and the other brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Lanette, sent Arjay three pocket t-shirts, which is what he wanted, and I got a very unique gift. Lanette said they were at a craft show and saw this teddy bear and Doug told Lanette how I love bears. Well, this one was hand made out of an old mink coat, so the coat is being recycled. The lady even sent a picture of the coat it was made from. Since It's being re-cycled, and I didn't buy the coat, I am ok with it. I thinks it's a great idea. I'll take a picture of it soon with me holding it. I need to find a name for her. She has a big bow, so I'm sure it's a girl bear. LOL Oh, Arjay got me a cute fun gift. It's a stuffed snowman with strange arms and legs. If you pull on the arms, the legs shorten. If you pull on the legs, the arms shorten. Cute and funny. I'll get a picture of that too this weekend.

Max isn't really into toys except for the feather on a stick and cat nip. He has plenty of cat nip and he "asks" for it every night by walking me over to the rug in the living room where I give him his "drug". Yes, I know I'm an enabler. What can I say? When he wants to play with the feather, he runs under the futon which ha a cover on it down to the floor. I then run the feather along the outside and he pounces on it with his paws and pulls in under the futon. Of course I keep a hold of the stick so I don't have to crawl under or move the futon to retrieve it myself. This may go on for 5 minutes or less. It's up to him how long he wants to play. We sure do have fun.

Max sends his love and wishes everyone a Meowy New Year. It'll be a very quiet one spent at home relaxing, reading, watching the ball come down and then go to bed. Then New Years Day I have to watch The Rose Bowl Parade and then football games.

I know some people take down their trees and such on that day, but I'll be doing it that week sometime. It'll be done the same way I put them up...a little at a time and probably over 2 days counting the clean up afterward. I'm sure Max wil be a big help too.

That's about it from here. Will write more when there is somethng to say.

Wow if Max really helps with the Christmas Decorations you got a better deal than me on pets. Essie and Jasmine are quite the trouble makers with decorations. They seem to think they should be in the boxes.

Sounds like a very nice time. Our Max likes the feather on a stick with string as well. Max will fish out the catnip bag if the cabinet isn't shut. He really likes his Nip.

You did have a wonderful Christmas. Happy anniversary. Today I took Gibson my Maincoon to the vet for blood work. Took me 15 minutes of steady work to get him into the carrier. He weighs 20 lbs and the carrier is a large one so it would fit him, weighed 7 lbs. Try carrying 27 lbs. plus he peed in the carrier so there went the urinalysis. Unless necessary I won't be taking him just for that. Now the blood results will come in tomorrow or Monday. Have a Blessed New Year.
