Nutritional plans

Okay, so atkins is not a great choice diet, and diets in general I know are not effective. However a bread and sugar free diet works wonders with me. My skin clears, my en energy levels go through the roof, and I lose weight steadily.
So Im trying to think of an effective way to eliminate sugar. I have already stopped eating bread, and gluten products. But Im not really sure how to give up sugar effectively. If I give it up cold turkey and completely am I just setting myself up for failure? Or should I find sugar alternatives? Such as stevia??

Any pointers??

That is an interesting idea and question. I have found that Stevia gives an aftertaste, much like equal and most artificial sweeteners. If you can handle that, then go for it. It is very sweet, and takes some getting used to. Personally, I don't like it. I have switched from sugar to splenda. I'm thinking of trying nectress (sp?) made from a fruit. Hope this helps.
