As The year Comes to an End

Friday, December 28, 2012

Don't many of us do this each year? Question "MAN! Where did this year fly to??"
2013...the year I...ME...ME!!!!! I turn 48 in August. Sigh...
I know one should avoid looking at ones un-achieved goals and focus on what one has DONE...but when one comes to their Spark page and see that none of the goals have been met over the past 6 years, well, it is a tad disheartening.
What are my excuses?
Well....I did have 4 surgeries this year.
Um....
Well...
That's all I got!
OH! WAIT...one surgery plopped me into medical menopause which caused my bod to freak and gain 15 pounds in 9 months! THAT is a medical fact...but it is a lousy excuse because I KNEW the potential of that happening.
Rather than prepare I caved and did nothing. It's the all or nothing in me.

So, January 2nd is 5 days away and I am prepping the house to start the year off right.
I am going to be looking at my healthy living choices in 5 week increments. This way I can evaluate and adjust and maybe...just MAYBE...I will be able to gain momentum instead of weight.

Back to the drawing board and VERY interested in checking out the new Spark Coach. Bells and whistles work for me sometimes.

Short term goal:
Get 1 month of menu planning accomplished
Plan shopping list for my grocery trip on Thursday
Dust off my WATP DVD's
Start drinking my water intake
Peruse my Sparky friends places :0)

THAT is just what I needed to read. Good 'ole Phil don't beat around da bush!

I clicked on your blog because I like Dr. Phil, but I can not picture him saying You are fat. Sounds like you have some big goals for the new year. Don't be afraid to take baby steps and go slowly. Best wishes for the new year.
