I have started the taming your sweet tooth plan and so far so good. Although, this week is only tracking what sugar you eat...MAN I eat WAY too much sugar. I have found my biggest time for eating sugar is when I am bored or low on energy. I am also an incredibly emotional eater (like so many). I am looking for an activity to replace that!!! I think adopting the clean eating diet will help the energy issue if I can eat every 2-3 hours and keep my blood sugar up. I am also paying closer attention to label and reading what I put into my body. The clean eating will be a journey! I am taking one step at a time starting with the sugar (taming your sweet tooth) and I will go from there...

I have been reading this blog called The Gracious Pantry (http://www.thegraciouspantry.
com/ I don't know how to do a hyper link) and she has some great guidelines that seem followable. I am developing what clean eating will look like for my family and I will post on that once my thoughts are together. Mainly, I am replacing/substituting sugars and trying to eat whole, natural foods. It will again be a journey for me and I am taking the journey step by step because I will have to wean my husband and I off the taste of sugar. This week, I am simply paying attention to what I am eating and not necessarily changing much (other than my goal of adding fruits and veggies to every meal/snack.). I am following the taming your sweet tooth lead on this front as well. This week is an evaluation :)

I have had some success this week too despite all the holiday eating. Last night, I was supposed to get together with a friend and we were going to go out to eat. Well, she ended up cancelling because she got sick. I had the though of going out anyway because I had already planned to but I decided that I didn't want to get Monkey all ready to go out and that I had food at home to make. So I made Chicken tacos and ate at home!!!! This is a HUGE success for me because fast food is a major vice for me.

Sorry this post was kind of a boring one filled with nothing but my inner thoughts and getting my plan and building steps written down. Experts say that is a first step to success is writing down the goals and steps.

Now to find my workout motivation!!!

    That's what blogs are for! At least that's how I use mine! Clearing out the sugar from your diet is hard. I'm doing it too! Keep up the great work!
