It's Friday and this week has been hectic with Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, back to work and bowling tonight!
The week was good...great, even. It was lovely to have so many of our family packed into our sardine can of a home, bonding over food, gifts and holiday cheer. But I also breathed a huge sigh of relief as they filtered out the door, taking the noise with them. I love holidays, but I think I prefer more one on one time with my family members!
My eating this week has been sporadic. Some good choices were made. Some bad choices were made. Overall I feel a slight sense of accomplishment in that I did better than I thought I might.
I've got a plan going for the weekend's eating and exercise and will figure out a menu for next week. I do better with a plan. It keeps me more accountable than just winging it does.
I'm excited to start my new book, received as a Christmas gift from my friend Bonnie, called "Cooking Light® The Food Lover's Healthy Habits Cookbook". I'm also working on an afghan in beautiful spring colors and am anxious to get more done on it. I'm visiting a friend tomorrow to show her some cool sites on the internet and teach her how to use them and then tomorrow night my nephew's band is playing and I hope to get to that show.
I hope I get some time to rest this weekend, too!
