I like learning about new organiizing tips and storage methods. How do you store lights?
I used the wrap-around things they come on, which, really doesn't work well at all. They get tangled less, but, they are still tangled.

has these light storage boxes. Has anyone used them?
Here are some more tips from About.com for storing and organizing cards, wreaths, gift wrap, trees, garland, advent calendars, Menorahs, specialty candle holders, Nativities, snow globes, ornaments, baking supplies, etc.

My tip: My problem with Christmas cards is not storing them, but sending them! Finding them, and getting them out on time. There were many times I sent them out on Christmas eve. Or later. I came up with a system to help that. I have several tubs for fall decors storage; one of them contains Thanksgiving decors of turkeys, pilgrims, etc. In that tub I store Thanksgiving paper plates & Christmas cards bought on sale, holiday card list, and everything needed to send them. When I have my own apt, and I get out Thanksgiving decors, I also get out the Christmas cards, and spend 15 mins per night on them, and mail them on Black Friday. I get the cards out in plenty of time before Christmas, and enjoy the Christmas season and the incoming cards, with no card guilt and one less deadline. Storing them with Thanksgiving really works for me, makes them so enjoyable.
