Hi, remember me? I haven't been on here in a while. Frankly, I put my workouts and healthy eating on the back burner to focus on graduate school. I can say that it wasn't a horrible decision, but it wasn't a smart decision either. I've gained about 10 pounds (thanks to poor (aka "easy") food choices and zero energy to workout). However, I have managed to maintain a 4.0 and have received excellent reviews in my internship. I'm really enjoying teaching, and if I didn't have school on top of creating lesson plans and grading, I think I would have managed my time and energy better. However, with the new year coming up, I've decided that it's time to stop putting my health on hold and get with the program. So, today is my Day #1.
Stay in my caloric range -- track everything ahead of time.
Exercise 4 times a week.
Train for another 10K, and then a half marathon.
Drink 8 glasses of water per day.
Minimize the sugar intake.
Have a more prevalent presence on Sparkpeople.
Hopefully the result of these goals will be to get back to the weight I was when I started graduate school.
These are doable goals, and I will do them!
Good luck to all of you tackling your own goals. I'm glad to be back!
