post-holiday plans, new year goals

Friday, December 28, 2012

Still eating party foods, but all the holiday hullabaloo is otherwise over.

This tail-end of the year is a good time to get going with a return to strength-training and my beloved kettlebells, and a new pre-work exercise habit for 2013.

Received a violin as a holiday gift and have a new practice to establish... while not forgetting previous goals of craftiness.

For 2013, I will also work on putting items in my Etsy store and see how that goes. I have plenty of unfinished projects and plenty of ideas for new ones.

I think I will cancel the TV - there is too much better stuff to do, really. Either I watch garbage and think I am wasting my time or I don't watch and think I am wasting my money.

Speaking of money, I also have a financial goal. I am just going to track my expenses and find out what it costs me to live and where I'm spending my cash. There is surely some app that will make that a fairly easy goal to accomplish!

You have some great plans for the coming year. We are waiting for our cable contract to expire and then we are done with it too. And for the same reasons as yours. We will probably go back to netflix--and watch movies in PEACE.
I have a sister who is a professional violinist--so good luck with your new musical venture! You must have played some when you were younger, or just taking it up now?

excellant goals indeed. We went without television for about seven years and so I know its doable. I might take your idea about money tracking and try it myself. Great idea.
