60lbs off!!!

Thursday, December 27, 2012

YAY! I got on the scale this morning and was shocked to see that I finally hit my 60lb off goal. I have been pushing hard and even with the holidays I've lost about 5lbs this month. It's less than my normal, but still happy that I am seeing results.

I started my journey on March 9th and I've lost on average 1.4lbs a week and on average 6.3 a month.

Here is my plan for 2013.

I want to improve on...
*running. I can now run 2 miles straight. This is actually the first week this has happened, but it's a huge deal for me. I want to continue running that a few times a week and see if I can either get a faster time (21:30 is my time now) or run more than 2 miles.
*I want to improve my 5k time. Right now I'm at about 36 mins.
*Continue striving for 5 fruits and veggies. This is hard for me.
*Work harder on the elliptical
*Last longer than 5 mins on level 7 on the stairmaster.
*Stay in my lower end of my calories daily or average about 1,500 a week.

I'm already really good at drinking 8 glasses of water, so I want to continue to do that.

My plan for January...

Elliptical- Interval training 65 minutes- Twice a week
Elliptical- Interval training 45 mins- Twice a week
Stairmaster- 25 minutes (level 8- 5 minutes, Level 7- 5 minutes, Level 5- 10 minutes, cool down) Twice a week
Treadmill- 45 minutes- Running improving
Bike- Once a week 20 mins

*If I workout 5 days a week then split up between all machines.

Strength Training- (These are what I plan on doing)

    Thanks :)
Nikki- The stairmaster kicks my butt. I can do a full 30 on level 6, but I can't really do more than 10 on level 7. It's so hard and I'm trying to improve!

5 min on Level 7 is hard enough but you want to do level 8 as well???? I wish you well because I don't think I could survive that. I watched my fiance do 78 minutes at a level 8 and I thought I would become a widow before we even had a chance to get married!

I also struggle with the 5-6 veggies a day and would like to get better at doing that as well. Your weight loss is great and it is better to consistently lose weight than yo-yo up and down with big losses and even huger gains.

Keep it up!
