Why do I take days off?

Thursday, December 27, 2012

Today was maddening. My boss kept coming to my desk. First she wanted me to do "A." Then "B." Then "C." Then -- you guessed -- she wanted to know why "A" wasn't done yet. Oy...

My ex was supposed to bring our son to my place for New Year's Day since we missed Christmas. Due to my bad knees and miserable balance, I can't do their stairs. Christmas Day he tells me that they're not coming (and he actually acted surprised that I didn't already know). He also told me that his car is in the shop because it's acting up. My only question is, he supposedly hasn't been able to drive for the last month or so due to a broken foot. How does he know it's working or not? I could ask, but I'll just let it go.

Oh, well. Right now I'm having a glass of wine and enjoying one of my favorite Food Network "dishes" (Ted Allen). They're rerunning the Chopped Grillmasters competition. Goodness, I was so disappointed when Cowboy Kent didn't win!

Almost the weekened...

I'm again sorry you are going to miss seeing your son because of your ex's, um, well, whatever he is doing.
As for work, I hope that you get everything straightened out with your boss as I am sure you get all your work done impeccably.
I hope you have something nice scheduled for yourself for New Years.

Happy New Years!!!!

Bosses can be like that, and unfortunately, most are. Maybe the next time it happens you could ask her to prioritize her tasks for you. That way she can't expect you to do everything at once.

Sorry to hear that you won't get to see your son. Is there some way you can get some social worker to help "remind and enforce the rules of joint custody"?

Skype is a great tool. We use it all of the time with our son. If you and the other party have a webcam you can do video calls. It's great!

I use Skype all the time and it's free! Love the Food Network. Agree that if you have custody agreement, it has to be kept. Good luck.

I enjoy the food network myself. I'm sorry about work and your son not coming. I wish we could say something that would make it easier. I wish you well.

    ((((HUGS))))) Stressors abound for sure.

Yes, I saw that episode, too and was disapointed Cowboy Kent didn't win. Oh well.

HUGS to you, my dear. Hang in there.

Don't you have visitation rights? If you can't make it there he's obligated to bring him to you.

It's time you start standing up for yourself. I know you can do it!

WALLAHALLA's suggestion is awesome about Skype. Just about everyone has access to that. I wonder what his excuse would be for that?
