the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are unchangeable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the believer's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, strengthen the hands, guide the feet and open the eyes. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully for it is a mine of wealth.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2 Tim. 3:16)
Perhaps a good resolution for the New Year would be to become as familiar as possible with the Holy Bible, the blessed Word of God, and all it has to offer.
May the Lord crown the New Year with His goodness and your paths drip with abundance. PS. 65:11
