emoticon Welcome to December, my favorite month of the year! Christmas season makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It is not about the gifts, lights, parties, food and merriment, but rather the reason for the season. Share your love and embrace God's love this month. This is a "good" thing! This month I'll be sharing God related material. Some will be serious, some will be church related, some will be laughable and some will be delectable. Please come daily to enjoy and share with your friends!

________Dec 26 Bethlehem
Reports of singing angels and a newborn Son of God in a manger are said to be filling residents of this tiny hamlet near Jerusalem with amazement and joy. Local shepherds say they were engulfed without warning early yesterday by a "brilliant light" and saw an angel before them.
"We were absolutely terrified." said one. "then the angel said not to be afraid he had good news for us. A Savior had been born - Christ the Lord. He said we would find a baby in a manger at a stable that was close by."
Another shepherd added, "The next thing we knew there were thousands of angels, and they were singing something like, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace and goodwill to all."
"Then," added a third shepherd "they were gone, just like that. We went right away to find this baby. "A fourths said, "We didn't know what we would see. More lights, more angels? But it was just this young couple and a newborn boy. They were so gentle and humble. We sensed this amazing joy and peace like never before. We went and told anyone who would listen."
The couple had just traveled from Nazareth to register for the census decreed by Caesar Augustus. Mary, the mother, and her husband, Joseph, assert that an angel had told them the child would be the Son of God and they were to name him Jesus.
"We are just so blessed by God." Mary said. "I keep thinking about what the shepherds told us they saw. And what a miracle it is that God would become one of us to reconcile us to Him."
