christmas traditions

Thursday, December 27, 2012

we do`nt really have many traditions about christmas exept one, it is my day off, i never cook we either go out for christmas for lunch or steve cooks as we have no kids we enjoy the morning together watching the dogs opening thier gifts and the carnage that follows with all the paper all over the floor ! and then as my birthday is a week after i end up doing nothing much all week with stee home for the duration of christmas holidays we eat together which is very nice and mostly he cooks which gives me a break

How awesome that you have an entire day to rest! I agree with Sheila about the time you and Steve are able to spend together being an invaluable tradition. I love that you wrap your dogs presents and let them open them. sounds truly fun!

Having a rest on Christmas Day and having Steve cook for you during the week between Christmas and New Year's sounds lovely and something you deserve (sorry you can't enjoy as much this year with you feeling sick!) I can imagine how fun it is with the dogs opening their gifts. That's what we did here with our two, since Dave, Sean and I didn't exhange gifts this year.
I think you have more traditions than you think. I was ready to here about all the baking you do before the holidays. Do you give most of your pies and cakes away?

We use to wrap the presents for our dogs too. It was a lot of fun watching them with their new presents! I really miss doing that. I think that's why I couldn't get in the mood for Christmas this year because we no longer have any puppy dogs. That's awesome that Steve does most of the cooking while he's off from work. I hope the two of you and the dogs as well as the rest of the pets had a nice Christmas!

That sounds like my idea of a fun and tasty Christmas and birthday week! I really don't like to cook...would much rather eat someone else's cooking and I am single. I have a neighbor/friend that is diasabled and a very good cook..she invites me over quite a bit.

Have a nice day!!
