Yesterday I stumbled back onto my Spark page that I started in 2009 and quickly forgot about. In 2009 I had just turned 40 and I was looking for a jumpstart to work on my health so that I could avoid some of the pitfalls I saw my mom fall into once she hit her forties. However, as usual for me I quickly moved on to focusing on something else, anything else except myself.
So here I am today, three plus years later. No changes made in my lifestyle, except that I have grown larger, become more lazy and not a great role model for my daughter.
My first and most important goal is Commitment. I am committed to everything else, my marriage, my job and my daughter. But now with some baby steps I am going to be committed to ME! First step, logging onto this site everyday till the new year (which is only four days away). Typically I drop by day two. Once I reach that goal I will expand that one and add another.
Scott, my husband, always tells me One day at a time, just stay in the day. But that is sooo very hard. I get so overwhelmed by the big picture and fear I will mess something up that I typically just give up. The easy way out. So, here I go...
My accountability will be this page. Either I will or I wont but it will be on record either way. My reward....coming back to this page tomorrow and saying Good Job girl, one day down!!!
