Goal Setting

Thursday, December 27, 2012

So I've started tracking some weekly goals in the last month or so. As the end of 2012 nears, I'm debating how I want to do goals for 2013. I think I may continue the weekly goals but also add in some monthly goals. I think it's also a good time to reevaluate my long term goals and see where I want to go this year.

The biggest goal I've come up with so far is 20+ visits to the gym each month. I did it in November, but December has been a bit of a disaster with the weather and the holidays. I would like to try to hit that goal 10 out of 12 months in 2013. It's kind of silly, but we have a frequent users list at the gym and I LOVE seeing my name on it.

Beyond that, still planning (and plotting).

I think you are doing an awesome job on your goals! One of my goals each year is to do better and more with my exercise than the year before. I'm still thinking about what else I want to achieve so we'll see in the next few days what I can come up with. YAY for being a frequent visitor to the gym! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The plans you've come up with so far sound great. If you keep at it I am sure you will achieve the gym goal at least 10 out of 12 months. I know what you mean about seeing your name on the frequent user's list. It would be inspirational to me too. I am thinking about what I want to set as my 2013 goals too. I have joined one challenge already and that is to accumulate 1,000 miles in 2013. This amounts to about 20 miles a week. I hope I will be able to achieve it. I know if I hope to achieve it I will definitely have to be tracking miles somehow. Good luck on 2013 and I look forward to seeing the rest of your goals! I love your quote too!

I've been thinking about goal setting also. I think I need to set one or two daily goals to keep myself motivated. The A & I challenges help me with weekly goals WHEN I can keep control! I need to put some thought into this like you are.
Thanks for getting me thinking seriously about revamping my goals and program.

Good job at setting goals! It is one of my weaknesses, perhaps that's why I don't always work in the correct direction.

I rarely set weekly goals, but that's a good idea and I might have to try it. Thanks for sharing!

Itís not always easy to walk in the old paths when everyone around us is looking for something new, but it is right! It isnít always easy to live for the Lord when others around you are living for the world, the flesh and the devil, but it is right! It isnít always easy to do the right thing when others around you are acting in bad ways, but it is always right! The fact is we can make a choice to live for God, even when everyone else seems to be going their own way and living for self. Did You Know? Vic.
