Wow! I have just returned from an exciting journey to Korea. I now have a new beautiful daughter-in-law and I learned so much about the Korean culture and about myself in such a short time. I didn't get to see nearly enough, so I believe I will be planning my next trip for 2014.
I learned that diabetes and medication needs better planning when crossing the international date line. I had difficulty in trying to figure out when to take my meds and I did experience some highs while in Korea and on my way home.
One can go on no sleep for only so long, after returning from my trip I am having some difficulty readjusting, hence a blog at 2 am my time. LOL.
The food in Korea is so good and watching how it is cooked and the spices that are added. Their food is pretty spicy which I didn't expect, but I am sure it revs up the metabolism. I hope to include some of the things I learned to my own menu planning.
I learned that there is more to life than working and taking care of everyone else. There was a family emergency right before I left and I had to make some difficult decisions about going. Although it was difficult, it was the best decision I ever made for myself and in the end it benefited those in my family as well.
My son and his wife had a traditional Korean wedding and let me tell you that it was so beautiful. I haven't downloaded any photos yet, so can't post here quite yet. I will in a couple of days.
Over the next few days I will be working on my monthly and yearly goals to encompass body, mind and spirit.
Until then, I think I will try going back to bed again. Night all!
