Holiday Exhaustion

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

I'm sure I'm not alone but I have to say the holidays have left me completely drained... devoid of energy and motivation. AND with a serious lag in my immune system (blah!)

I had such high hopes for getting back on track today. I didn't even have the energy to fix food for myself. Green tea for breakfast and that's all I could muster.

I'm sure little O was feeling the strain of the holidays as well. My mom went to Target with me this morning and let's face it - Mammaw will always trump mommy. Not today. That little monkey was stuck to my side (quite literally) he wouldn't even walk! (I'm calling this weight training since he weighs over 40 lbs (my son is solid) and my legs are sore!

I think things will get back to normal tomorrow. Little O's daycare is open so I'm sending him to "school" so I can get some major cleaning done around here. It needs to be done and I'm hoping I can bend time a little and get the majority of it done in one day. While I'd rather play all day I can't stand the house being in this shape! Plus, I think he will appreciate getting back to his routine. Kids need that structure.

Well, I'm exhausted and heading to bed so I can hopefully be well rested to tackle some major projects in the a.m.

Make sure to check out the amount of calories you can burn by "deep cleaning" on the exercise tracker. It's amazing. My house is really shaping up because of this program. I burn calories and get a clean house. Pretty cool. emoticon

I hope you get the rest you need. My dog got into some chocolate last night and so I had a sleepless night monitoring him. I plan to take a Motrin PM tonight.
