****my holiday in a nut-shell...TONS OF PICS!!!****

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

Before I even go into my holidays, I just want to express the shock and awe I just felt when I updated my weight and Spark told me that my new caloric range is 1200-1550 calories! What the hell??? I will have to pray on that one.

Anyway, my Christmas was busy yet fun and filled with family. I am deathly afraid of what the past three days has done to my weight loss because I did not track ANYTHING! Which means I will be busting my butt in the gym tonight and tomorrow and drinking gallons of water. But anywho. My Christmas holiday began on the eve of Christmas Eve with a friend's Christmas party in which I ate three too many Oreo truffle balls. I also had two servings of pasta. Thankully I didn't drink or that night would have been a complete catastrophe. The next evening was Derrell's family pictures. It feels so good to be included in them. The day before I had my hair colored and flat-ironed and I got to wear the dress that I bought earlier that week. Here I am before the pictures:

I felt like Michelle Obama!! We got to my brother-in-law's church for the pictures and Derrell's uncle Tony amd his wife, who was the photographer, were an hour and twenty minutes late!! What the hell??? Derrell's entire family was there so we hung out and talked but Derrell and I had to rush because my mom was taking us out to dinner. Here is a picture of Derrell with his Uncle Tony:

I know Derrell looks minitiature but Tony is 6'4". After the pictures Derrell and I had to rush to Outback to meet my family. It was a good time and I ate sensibly. The night did end with my mom and i arguing over proper tipping procedures. She was going to leave him $9 on a $171 bill. OH HELL NO! My brother threw in a six bucks and I had to have the server charge me for a drink so I could give him the other $12 he was owed. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO TIP THE MINIMUM 18% THEN DON'T GO OUT TO EAT! Sorry I had to get that out. But anyway, my niece and I were snapping pics at the table. Here are some of those:

Ok, so this is a HORRIBLE pic of my niece BUT I looked good so i had to post it! emoticon The flash actually blinded her-it didn't stop my bro from taking another one!

That same evening Derrell and I opened gifts from each other since he had to work Christmas morning. Here is just some of the loot we got:

*new workout clothes - in a LARGE emoticon emoticon emoticon

*My favorite team! And they won on Christmas Day!

*I can make protein shakes again after blowing up my last one! I also got more workout clothes from my nephew and my brother. My mom ordered me P-90X and it should be here by next week. She also gave me a $100 gift card to New York and Company! Derrell's parents got me a very nice (albeit pricey) sweater set and his grandma got me a pretty jewlery set to go with it. My Christmas was capped off by having 30 of my friends and family over to my house enjoying the meal that I prepared for them. I love times like this!

You look gorgeous! I can't believe the difference and I saw you just last fall! Success looks great on you! Keep it up! I love the new hair, too!

Wow, there won't be a dry eye at your wedding! One piece of advice, don't let Derrell see you before you walk down the isle. The look on their faces the first time they see you in your dress, is priceless. My hubby is not a "crier," but he did at our wedding.

We took pictures before the wedding, but not any together. It didn't take long to finish them up, as a couple, after the ceremony! I'm getting so excited for you!!!! emoticon

Looks like you had lots of fun. You look AWESOME in that dress, girl! WooHoo!

I have to agree with your public service announcement since my daughter is a server at the same restaurant and that very thing happened to her last night. One table of 4 with a $50 bill left NO TIP at all and another 6-top table had a $171 bill and left $10. She was pretty frustrated when she came home! I admire you and your brother to jump in and share.

You must be so excited to be into a large on your exercise clothes! Hate to have them falling off when you're exercising your tushie so hard!!

Am going to brave the scale tomorrow morning, didn't track anything after I came down with this cold, and I took an impromptu trip to Vicksburg, so the tracking has been blah... Got to face the music and get back into the swing of things. Sounds like you had an amazing time, and I see P90-x in my future also, am going into it after Insanity.

Your caption under the first pic with your niece made me laugh. emoticon Have fun with P90X. I like all of the workouts but the yoga. My balance is awful and that workout emphasizes it. Glad that you had a nice holiday!
