So, this was christmas, and Santa stopped my my stocking and dropped a few things.
the first thing I opened (and I can't wait to acutally use it) is called Waterfi www.waterfi.com
It is an iPod shuffle - it is coated so you can swim with it. I am sure that will make the laps a lot less boring.
Then I opened a slightly bigger package - A Garmin 910XT .... a garmin for swimming biking and running - awesome (Thanks Santa - glad you got hints from my DW). I am sure I will look like a gadget geek next time I am in the pool.
These gadgets would be useless without ways to download the data and analyze it. I am not sure which one I like the best. I have two. One is I subscribe to mapmyfitness mapmyfitness.com
and the other is Digifit digifit.com
... I am actually using both There are things about both I like and use. I particularly like the graphing the heart rate zones and the audio prompting of the zones it is an iPhone/Android compatiple program.
These will now be my tools of the trade - and I will write an update once I get comfortable with all of them.
