Time for Reflection

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

It's that time of year-time to reflect on the past year and plan for the new one ahead. This year has not been at all what I'd planned for a year ago. But that's okay and good. I hadn't planned to take my health seriously and try to get in shape. I for sure hadn't planned to start running again. But here I am running 15-20 miles a week and 46 pounds lighter. Excited by the potential of the new year. Excited by my progress to reclaim health and fitness. Excited and thankful for the wonderful Spark Friends I've made.

Spark has indeed been a great resource! Congratulations on your progress! I've also been dealing with arthritis, and getting this weight down is important. I may feel stiff and achey first thing in the morning, and have to argue with myself to get on my exercise bike, but the spirit usually wins over the flesh, and the body feels so much better for it after. I may still have joint replacement/reconstruction, but keeping active will make recovery that much faster. Let's go, us! Blessings on your journey to a healthy lifestyle!
