No Excuses!

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

I'm sure there are other blog posts with the same title. I'm sure there are other people out to get healthier and more fit. I'm also sure that I'm not the only person who has struggled with excuses.

My excuses:

I'm too tired.

I don't have the time.

I don't feel like it.

My back (feet, legs, etc) hurt.

I'm not going to log my food intake because I've really blown it today.

I WOULD have exercised if I had gotten up earlier.

Oh the list could go on and on and on.

But for today, I want no excuses. Yes, I got to work and ate four pieces of the holiday goodies that were brought in by myself and co-workers. So I logged it. I have calorie UN-friendly broccoli/cheese/ham soup for both breakfast and lunch. I logged it. I will be walking to the post office to purchase stamps today and I will gladly log that!

I know this isn't going to be easy. But I know just as strongly that if I earnestly set out to meet my goals that I will lose weight, I will feel better, I will be healthier and I will like myself better. And the goals can only be met if there are no more excuses.

Way to go! Keep up the great work and do what you know you need to even if the results aren't what you want. Those habits will get you where you want to be. Good luck on the journey!

    Great! I love NO EXCUSES.

For me, goals are about ACTIONS. I blogged about that recently - I don't do "weight by a date" goals - I can't control my weight. I can, however, control my actions.

Logging even on the bad eating days is KEY to learning from those days. Otherwise, we're kinda just trying to sweep it under the rug, right?

Good for you taking charge of your life.

I look forward to hearing about your progress.

    Make it a great day!
