Christmas sweets

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

I learned something over the last two days. I paid attention to what I ate, when I ate it and why I ate it. I realized that I really don't like the candy, the Christmas Candy. The M&M, the fudge, the buttercreams. I like something with a bit more substance. I like the cookies, the chocolate dipped pretzels, etc. So this was good to figure out. It will help me determine what will tempt me. It helps me know what will satisfy me. And help me learn what will be empty calories that don't fulfill either. It's good to be paying attention.

I need to pay more attention. I don't like the candies as much as the cookies myself, but I still have trouble resisting. emoticon

Yes, I agree! I behaved a bit differently this year. Caught myself "mindlessly gnoshing" as I call it a couple times because I won't lie, I love delicious foods and they abounded, but I did not go overboard to a place I felt real uncomfortable with. I'm glad you made this discovery! Best wishes in your journey :D
