Well, here it is...... I wasn't perfect. As a matter of fact - I was outright awful.

I started off on the right path. I had a couple of amazing workouts Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Even took up a great game of racquet ball with my daughter on Monday. I was very active while on leave.

We also planned for fairly healthy meals and chose not to have deserts in the house. No pies. No Fudge. No baking. We even chose not to put any edible items in the stockings this year.

Yeah, well that didn't last long. My mom ended up baking some chocolate chip cookies and ordered some of my favorite chocolates for the special occasion.

Well, let's just make this long story as condensed as possible. I failed. Big time. I even thought I could eat them all gone last night so they wouldn't be there today. That just made me sick. It's still on my counter. I am really hoping they are gone by the time I get back tonight.

Ho hum. Another day in the journey. But I am still here. Working harder than ever.

Oh - I got my FitBit yesterday and am so thrilled.

    My diet hasn't been all that great over the holidays either. Thankfully I've had more time to work out so I'm staying steady on the scale. Once I get back to work, my diet will improve.

    It's ok, the good news about this journey is that no matter how long you veer off of it, it always takes you right back, so walk confidently in the direction of your goal, forgive yourself for a stumble.

    Maybe it won't be such a big impact on the scale? I ate more this past week, and I think it helped my metabolism, I made sure the days following I went back to eating well, and I lost 3 lbs the week of Chritsmas- so I hope you will see better results than you expect too!

    Today is another day.
    I over did it on the home made rolls. I think there are still 4 in the kitchen.
    Enjoy your day today and don't beat yourself up over the cookies. (For some reason my mom bakes cookies and brings them to my house all the time even though I tell her I don't need them.) She always says "3 or 4 won't hurt you" they usually go in the trash after she goes home. Moms-got to love them!

    Just start again and try again. We all go through this.
