I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Today was supposed to be my rest day from working out (not really by the schedule, but I had told myself I would take the day off). However, my dog woke me up at 5am and I would have been sitting out in the living room for 2-3 more hours before the rest of my family woke up, so I went ahead and did my scheduled workout. I did Peak10 Cardio Strength 2. Love that one! Had enough time to shower and get ready before I woke the kids up. (It's crazy, my brother and I never slept in on Christmas, the past couple years I've been having to wake the boys up on Christmas morning!)
The boys loved everything that we got them. It was so cute seeing their expressions and then watching them play with their toys afterwards. Jon liked his gifts, as well. He wanted a cast iron tea pot for work, so I got him that along with a trivet to set it on. I also got him 3 running shirts, 2 sweatshirts, a pair of workout pants, the entire King of Queens DVD set, and 2 boxes of specialty teas. He got me a Vera Bradley hipster purse (I've been wanting the hipster! I have a bit of an "obsession" with Vera Bradley stuff, lol) and he also got me the matching wallet and matching iPhone case! He also got me some new ear buds (they are the Ur Buds from Target that fit women's ears better). I had taken the boys shopping at Five Below to get our gifts and something for each other. Adam got me a Abs of Steel DVD and Josh got me some hand weights that strap on to carry while walking.
Afterwards we went to my brother and sister-in-laws, and had lunch and gave them their presents. Then we went to my mother-in-laws and did gifts with her. It was a little different for us, we usually stay home on Christmas and everyone comes to us. But it was nice not having to do ALL of the cooking and cleaning, lol. Tomorrow is supposed to be a "lay around day" since my husband and I are both off of work, but the boys have some gift cards and I have a feeling they will want to do some quick shopping before we just hang out. I also need to get groceries at some point. I don't mind grocery shopping too much, but I HATE making the meal plan/grocery list. I don't know why it bugs me so much, but it seems to take forever to come up with a meal plan for the week (that everyone can agree on!) Going to try to make a better plan for 2013 so that it doesn't take 2 hours of going through cookbooks and online sites trying to find meal ideas!
