First off: Merry Christmas to you all! (Even though it really doesn't feel like it)
So last night was not pleasant. Church was nice. However, I originally went to bed at 10:30. Tossed and turned all night. Didn't fall asleep till 5 am and then only slept till 7:30. I got a very good haul this year. I always feel ashamed though: I get spoiled while I never know what to get anyone. But everyone seemed to like their gifts. *Positive thoughts*
The gifts I was most excited by: a nice ring with an amethyst stone in it (my birthstone), a stability ball (which is already inflated and I am currently balancing on while writing this. GO FITNESS!!) as well as the 2nd book in a trilogy I'm reading. I will say though the one thing I was disappointed that I didn't get even though I strongly hinted that I NEEDED one, not WANTED was a backpack on wheels for school. Unluckily for me when there were a couple of weeks left of the semester, one of the straps on my backpack broke: on that particular day I think my bag must've weighed 30 lbs easily. It was hard to carry that on 1 shoulder. Anyways, point is, I didn't get one for Christmas though it was something I needed badly. LOL guess I just need to buy it myself before school starts in the new year.
My goals for this year are the following:
1) to join the Y- should be easy enough to accomplish
2) to run a 5K then a 10K (Another goal is to one day run a marathon. Figured these are achievable distances and a good starting point to aim for)
3) get back to strength training. I figure it I make it a streak to do say, 2 ST exercises a day (for starters, I can work my way up so it will eventually become as mandatory as getting my cardio in)
