I Never Saw That Blitz Coming! Training Camp - Day 3

Tuesday, December 25, 2012

Wow today's practice was tough! I thought I was prepared but I quickly learned that I showed up without my gear. I evidently thought that because it is Christmas Eve, I could just show up and breeze right through practice without any problem. WRONG!

Okay where did I even get the idea that I didn't need to show up prepared with my gear. Did my brain shut off briefly? lol

I had my butt kicked all over the field so to speak! lol I fell for every stupid mind game on food that is out there. I am sitting her right now with a terrible pain in my stomach from everything that I ate. Stupid Stupid!!

I did have some positives. I got my exercise done. I drank my water. I am choosing to focus on those positives and not the food that I ate. Well I am being reminded about the food because my stomach hurts.

I am hoping that I will take this lesson to practice tomorrow. I know that this will be a difficult one as I am seeing all the goodies that my daughter is preparing. My husband has planned carne asada tacos for dinner. My plan is to incorporate as many freggies into the day so that I don't get carried away with all the other things.

I will track everything!!! I will drink my water and I will get my exercise in. I will enjoy my family and spend time with them instead of focusing on the food.

I will show up to practice with all my gear remember that it doesn't matter what day it is, the gear is required! Tomorrow, full pads and helmet are required as I will have to power through the cravings.

I want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. May God richly bless you and your families.

Much Love!

Tacos sound good. I finally got some ham. Overate of course, Eve and Day. But tomorrow it's back to vegan. I'm so glad. It may be rough at first, but I know it will be a RELIEF!

So not everything went according to plan. There were positives and that is what is important. Tomorrow you will have learned from today's mistake and be ready to kick butt.

Hang in there, you can and will do it

You tracked your food!! You drank your water!! You did your exercise!! And you will take the lesson you learned forward. Do you eat a lot of veggies with your tacos? Lettuce, maybe shredded carrot, jicama, avocado, tomato?? Oh it sounds good just writing about it!! Enjoy!! Merry Christmas!!
