OMG! Nobody ever told me, nor did I know enough to inquire...that laptops only have a life span of 5- 7 years and I guess mine is on its last leg. Sigh.
My computer is fine but my laptop monitor is black. Talk about frustrating beyond frustrating!!! So thankful for my brother, though. He hooked me up with an "S-video" cord which is allowing me to use my TV screen as my monitor for the time being. It's a little weird but I'm so glad that this tv has the plug for this in the back because me other tv doesn't.
So, I guess I'm back in business until I can save up for a new computer.
I hope everyone is doing well and I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.
If you have laptops and you get the "Pink Screen of Death", be warned. It's time to make sure you have a backup plan. I didn't. Thankfully, I have everything important backed up and I also have Carbonite. I don't even want to think about all the pictures and documents I would've lost if it had been worse.
Once again, Merry Christmas, everybody. Have a safe and happy holiday.
I hope all of your wishes come true!
