This weekend was a whirlwind, and today was no exception.
Yesterday I abandoned everything and had a great day out. Today was a plan to catch up and do some baking for neighbors
The phone rang a walking friend called and asked if I could walk with her today.
I told her once the cakes are out of the oven we will get together, I will call you back at noon.

I was on a roll I made DH his MAPLE WALNUT MUFFINS. I made myself banana, date flax seed mini muffins, and they turned out well too, I used lots of flax seed so I used less Canola oil. Extra banana meant less sugar, I did use coarse brown not white and added dates for sweetness. I will have to calculate my recipe later. emoticon
I called back and told my friend I wanted to walk the rail trail. She lives out of town and wanted to walk since she had just driven back from Boston. I told her I would drive out to pick her up, she said on one condition ---After the walk you must join me for a cup of tea and a cinnamon bun. I had made a deal.

We walked our 4 miles in a cool brisk wind and we both wore our face masks. What a big difference this makes for me. My cheeks usually sting and today it was easy to talk and breath and even my nose stayed warm.

I have decided to make some more as soon as I find the Neoprene. It has to be available somewhere and that way I can wash them often because the fabric was over my mouth and it was so easy to breath. Scarves were not a good option for me. Now I have my solution to walking in the wind.

After the 4 miles I took her home and we chatted about kids story books and she showed me a collection of her kids books. I have a collection of English kids books so we discovered another hobby in common. I did eat her cinnamon bun and she had reduced the sugar and frosting so I cooperated and enjoyed the whole experience. We enjoyed our Tea time from China tea cups and we sat and relaxed. emoticon
I was reluctant to leave but I had so much still to do. I got home and added the frosting to the Almond Bundt cakes I had made to take to friends for this evening. They came out well and I scattered sliced almonds over the drizzle and they did look attractive. emoticon
DH and I were invited to our next door neighbours. Two of her sons had arrived and they were looking forward to DH company. I took My baked goods to our neighbours and chatted a little, I wished them MERRY CHRISTMAS and walked back home. DH was waiting and we went to our immediate next door neighbors where DH had a great time. It was his first relaxing visit with male friends in almost six weeks. I wanted to get home to Spark so I left him there and I came home. emoticon
Still a few things to do but I wanted to wish all of my Spark FRIENDS a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS where ever you are around the world.
